Environment the focus of city study session Tuesday

The city of Santa Clarita will host a Planning Commission Study Session on local environmental sustainability issues. The meeting will be held in City Hall's first floor in the Century Room on Tuesday, July 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Victim airlifted to Holy Cross

A victim who was ejected from a vehicle as a result of a crash Saturday night on San Francisquito Canyon Road was airlifted to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

Sand Canyon plane crash victims identified

The two victims of Saturday's plane crash in Sand Canyon have been identified as 45-year-old Anthony Crippen, of Pacific Palisades, and 43-year-old Ronald Weiss, of Encino, according to the Los Angeles County Department of the Coroner.

New deal for college graduates

I am very concerned about what the future holds for the kids graduating college. It would be nice if our government could think of having some of the projects that also helped out fathers and mothers. We had the WPA, Works Progress Administration, for men who could do jobs like cleaning streets - work in the jobs that helped business who could use extra help. We had the CCC, Civilian Conservation Corps, that helped families ...
