Sewer rates take a hike

New Santa Clarita Valley residents and businesses will pay hundreds or thousands of dollars more than existing residents for sewer connection fees beginning January, the Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District board decided Wednesday night.

Sheriff's Department seeks info about bank incident

Detectives are trying to hunt down a woman who allegedly entered a Stevenson Ranch bank Monday afternoon, implied someone was going to kill her and demanded money from a teller, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Deputies seek suspect in attempted bank robbery

Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's Robbery and Assault team are investigating an attempted robbery which occurred yesterday afternoon at a bank in the 25800 block of The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch. A female adult entered the bank, implied that someone was going to kill her, and demanded money from the teller. The female left the location without obtaining anything after the teller walked away from his window.
