In our society, the words "knowledge" and "wisdom" are often treated as synonyms. But it wasn't always so.
In Letters to the Editor, I read about problems in government, finance, industry and elsewhere; how corporations are bad and government is lax, or corporations are good and government is blocking them from solving our financial and employment problems.
Monopoly: that great childhood game in which we get to become Donald Trumps for an evening and crush the financial dickens out of our friends and family. Maybe it was too much Fox News or debates about conservative worldview economics with associates when it occurred to me there was something very sinister about the game.
For the life of me, I can't fathom how Assemblyman Gil Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, and his fellow Democrats can find "justified and fair" the giving of state-funded financial aid to illegal immigrants for college education.
