Strickland receives endorsements
Paul Strickland, the only incumbent in the William S. Hart Union High School District board election Nov. 3, has been endorsed by Congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Senator Tony Strickland, Senator George Runner, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth and Assemblywoman Audra Strickland.
Kids hit by car
A car hit a teenager and young child crossing the street near Live Oak Elementary School in Castaic on Wednesday, leaving the children with minor injuries, authorities said.

Food Pantry gives brushes
