Supervisors: Formula for homeless resources must include mental health care

LOS ANGELES COUNTY -- The Board of Supervisors approved a motion by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich to send a five-signature letter to the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department to include mental illness and substance abuse in its McKinney Vento housing resources funding formula when allocating monies targeting homelessness.
