Tea party and Democrats? That’s ironic

When Republican politicos vote with the GOP issue of the moment, liberals and many pedestrian Democrats declare that the GOP is unthinking and in lockstep. Conversely, when the same politicos do not vote for the GOP agenda, Republicans are critically labeled as unfocused and in disarray.

In Pat Conroy's semi-autobiographical book and film "Conrack," the protaganist shouts from a truck in the whitest neighborhood of Buelah, South Carolina, that "a mere 20 more headstones in the graveyard of every city in the nation will resolve the problem of overt racism."

Don’t be so nasty

The wrong direction

On the same day President Barack Obama told a Wisconsin town hall gathering that his progressive policies mean "the economy is headed in the right direction," the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office projected that federal debt could reach 87 percent of America's gross domestic production by 2020, and surpass 100 percent of GDP by 2025. This is unacceptable.
