Debutantes make debut
A very special season of beautiful dresses, social events, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities began recently for ten Santa Clarita Valley high school seniors.
What’s happened to the American spirit?
I taught my children to believe we're all created equal, that in this country you have the right to free speech and all it entail's. What we expected was democracy in action. What we saw the night of Congressmen Schiffs town hall meeting couldn't even come close. My heart broke as I looked around and saw able minded citizens shouting out distorted lies; accompanied by hatred.
Vakay doesn’t get it

Santa Clarita warehouse sold for $9.87 million
A 93,228 square foot warehouse in Canyon Country formerly occupied by Homemakers Furnishings and then the Racer's Edge indoor go-karting track was recently sold for $9.87 million.

NASA discovers largest of Saturn's rings
PASADENA, Calif. (PRNewswire-USNewswire) -- NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope has discovered an enormous ring around Saturn -- by far the largest of the giant planet's many rings. The new belt lies at the far reaches of the Saturnian system, with an orbit tilted 27 degrees from the main ring plane. The bulk of its material starts about six million kilometers (3.7 million miles) away from the planet and extends outward roughly another 12 million kilometers (7.4 million miles).

Spring is in the air in the SCV
It seems like spring in the Santa Clarita Valley! The calendar officially still says winter, but this past week has been very "spring-like." There was some awesome kite-flying weather with the sunshine and the wind (a little too much wind on some days!) and it was easy to ditch the heavy jackets in favor of short sleeves and shorts.
