LOS ANGELES COUNTY -- To address an anticipated $500 million budgetary shortfall in the county's projected 2010-2011 budget, a motion by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, unanimously approved by the Board of Supervisors, directs the county's Chief Executive Officer to review all viable options of ongoing and one-time savings, and report back to the Board during Budget hearings.
NEW YORK (AP) - Jose Canseco announced Tuesday on Twitter that he had been subpoenaed by a grand jury investigating whether Roger Clemens lied to Congress when he denied using performance-enhancing drugs.
Canseco posted on the social networking site that the FBI was about to visit his house, then said he had received a subpoena to appear before the grand jury "about roger clemens,andrew pettite and others" on April 8.
