Man charged with indecent exposure, public intoxication

Jeremy Bixler, 30, Valencia, was arrested for indecent exposure, public intoxication in a park, possessing alcohol in the park, and nudity in a park at Valencia Central Valley Park Wednesday afternoon, according to a report from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Stephen R. Maguin: Imported water is not the sole problem we have

The opinion column "Someone has to pay" (July 29) by Cam Noltemeyer, stated that State Water Project water imported to the Santa Clarita Valley is the cause of the high chloride levels in the Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District's recycled water that discharges in the Santa Clara River. Therefore, she reasons, any cost of facilities required to comply with regulatory requirements related to chloride should be paid for by new development since it is accommodated with additional import water.
