I agree with the Los Angeles County supervisors and think that we should make the switch to reusable bags.

So I guess plastic grocery bags in the unincorporated areas of our fair valley are going to be a thing of the past. I say it's high time.
This past Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted 3-1, with Supervisor Don Knabe absent, to ban plastic shopping bags in all markets and convenience stores in the county's unincorporated areas - home to 1.5 million residents.

Regarding "Our View: An invitation to city's library critics," Nov. 14:
Did you catch the irony of The Signal's homage last week to all the activists, including Marsha McLean, who saved Elsmere Canyon, while at the same time, it vilified and marginalized the concerned Santa Clarita citizens who are outraged about the City Council's ill-advised decision to privatize our wonderful public libraries?
Your editorial ("An invitation to city's library critics," Nov. 14) sets forth a fuller recitation of the facts leading up to the (Santa Clarita City) Council's Aug. 24 vote to create the Santa Clarita Public Library and have it operated by Library System & Services LLC, or LSSI, than has been forthcoming from the city to date - voluntarily or in response to Public Records Act requests by several individuals.
