Zonta Club to Host Healthy Woman’s Day
Hundreds of local women who have no health insurance or have coverage that doesn't include routine health screenings are expected to take advantage of the seventh annual Healthy Woman's Day sponsored by Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley and Samuel Dixon Family Health Center. Counselor's hearing rescheduled
An absent judge and lawyers with busy schedules led to another continuance of the pre-trial hearing for former Golden Valley High School counselor Roselyn Hubbell. Judge Lloyd Nash, filling in for Judge Harold Vites on Wednesday, granted the request for rescheduling the pretrial to Nov. 19. Hubbell pleaded not guilty to charges of one misdemeanor count of annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18.

Church volunteers in Nicaragua
A team of volunteers from the Valencia United Methodist Church traveled to Nicaragua the first week of March to offer assistance to poor families. The families live in shacks in and around an area known as la chureca, a large trash dump located in Central Nicaragua near the city of Managua.
