My name is Deputy Josh Dubin, one of the public information officers here at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. I am also the former CPU zone leader for the Newhall (Zone 6) area. Although there has not been a zone leader assigned to Stevenson Ranch / Westridge (Zone 3) for a number of months, recently new private funding was secured. Newhall Zone 6: residential burglaries probed

Overall crimes reported in the Newhall area saw a slight increase during the week, but year to date reported crimes still remain lower than the previous year.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Targets Impaired Drivers with Checkpoint

Santa Clarita, CA – Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station/Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI/Drivers License checkpoint on September 13, 2013, at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence and provide the greatest safety for officers and the public.
