The second issue of Proxart Magazine will be released Wednesday. The issue features art and interviews with Alma Juarez, Aaron Bjork, Theft, The Victor Ship, The Dining Dead as well as an all new literary section that highlights suburban poets and writers. New business training available

Thirty local small businesses will undergo free business training because the Small Business Development Center at College of the Canyons has been chosen to participate in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative Program. The training begins in August. Business leaders will meet every other Saturday for the free 10-week training session. A free information session about the program will take place from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center. Parking is $2.
