Loved Kristofferson concert

I was thrilled by the recent Kris Kristofferson concert at the Santa Clarita Center for the Performing Arts at College of the Canyons, having been a fan of his music for many decades. I commend COC for bringing this music legend to our valley and at a very reasonable price.

Don't need Plambeck's preaching

Is it me, or is anyone else tired of being talked to like a three-year-old by Lynne Plambeck ("Mom, apple pie and water conservation," Jan. 28)? She calls my lawn useless and childishly reminds me to make sure to wash my dishes and clothes with a full load.

Joe Klocko: Criteria for business success

When you think of California do words like innovative, leading-edge and trendy come to mind? A place where new ideas first take root before they become woven into the very fabric of the national culture and industrial base before becoming recognized around the world as being uniquely "American". If so, you may be surprised to learn that in one area, the critical business process of selecting and hiring new employees, California is lagging behind the rest of the country.

Busting misconceptions about investor perceptions

We all know that perception often influences our decisions, yet we catch ourselves and become reminded that what we perceive isn't always what's really going on. With the constant barrage of information available in today's 24/7 world, it's important to not get caught up in the day-to-day market volatility and news headlines.
