SCV Single Mothers Group celebrates first year of service

The newly founded Santa Clarita Valley Single Mothers Group celebrated its first year with a holiday party held at a private clubhouse in December. The event attracted 50 single mothers and their children.

Six Flags Magic Mountain earns recognition

Despite a harsh economy, Six Flags Magic Mountain and the Boy & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, made the holiday season much merrier for the children in Southern California. One with which I particularly disagree is "Familiarity breeds contempt." I know what it is supposed to identify, and I flatly disagree.
