New immunization law

Beginning July 1, California law requires public and private junior high and high school students to be immunized against pertussis, also known as whooping cough. For the 2011-12 school year only, all students entering seventh- through 12th-grades will need proof of a Tdap booster shot before starting school.

Disney film raises funds to protect African wildlife

Burbank, Calif. - Disneynature announced today that its "See 'African Cats,' Save the Savanna" campaign will help protect more than 50,000 acres of land in Kenya's Amboseli Wildlife Corridor on behalf of the moviegoers who came out to see Disneynature's motion picture "African Cats" during its opening week (April 22-28, 2011).
