A word on ambiguous commentary
Kevin Buck's commentary "Let's talk post-partisan partisans" (Feb. 10, 2009) is ambiguous. Not confusing, because it carries the usual liberal rhetoric, but simply ambiguous.

Antonovich calls state budget "raw deal"
Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich issued the following statement on the announcement of a state budget deal today. "What was missing was a comprehensive package of structural reforms including eliminating or consolidating overlapping departments and high-paying political commissions -- limiting stipends for members of necessary commissions to $150 per meeting. Also needed is a 2-year state budget, a part-time legislature and abolishing term limits.
