Helmers students collect 3,000 items for food pantry

During the holidays, food supplies are plentiful at the Santa Clarita Food Pantry but in the spring, the pantry's cupboards usually can't keep up with the demand for food supplies for SCV's needy population. To help remedy this problem, Charles Helmers Elementary students and their families donated and gathered more than 3,000 items of food and toiletry supplies to help the SCV Food Pantry earlier this month.

Castaic Relay For Life fundraiser Saturday
