Western music night

The Outwest Western Boutique and Cultural Center is hosting a Western music concert at 7 p.m. on Aug. 28. The concert will include the Red River West trio, Buck Corbett and David Ferguson. Reservations and a $15 donation to benefit the performers are required. The event will include free refreshments. For more information, call (661) 255-7087. I might sound incredibly naive, but every day, and as long as we listen to or watch news, read the newspapers and watch the president's speeches, we hear or read how one or more groups of workers' jobs are in jeopardy. And President Barack Obama's solutions always include job and/or pay cutbacks for every segment of the population - except for the politicians.

Jeremy Bixler, 30, Valencia, was arrested for indecent exposure, public intoxication in a park, possessing alcohol in the park, and nudity in a park at Valencia Central Valley Park Wednesday afternoon, according to a report from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.
