24-year-old Newhall man pleads no contest to purse snatching

A Newhall man arrested in connection with the theft of a purse from a car parked at a Santa Clarita shopping center in June pleaded no contest Monday to one count of receiving known stolen property, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said.
