Concerts in the Park

This summer's Concerts in the Park series will kick off with a performance by Latin fusion guitar band Incendio on July 10. Weekly shows will be held on Saturdays at 7 p.m. at Central Park.

More than $32,000 raised for cancer victims

The SCV Jaycees, the local chapter of Junior Chamber International, raised $32,850 on Saturday for The Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund at the groups ninth annual 5k fundraiser. A total of 378 runners participated in the event, according to a news release. The Brenda Meling Cancer Fund provides home health care service and money for rent and insurance to people 18- to 40-years-old undergoing cancer treatment.
