Cameron Smyth: What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate

In recent years, our community has gone to great lengths to reduce chloride levels in the water we send downstream into Ventura County. First, we banned the installation of new salt-based water softeners, and then we approved a measure that expanded the ban to existing water softeners.

Safety is vital

Regarding safety for the Fourth of July fireworks at Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall: A large church in Chatsworth funded a grand Fourth of July fireworks display at 9 p.m. close to the large residential Porter Ranch area and many nearby large businesses in the Chatsworth-Northridge area of San Fernando Valley.
