Ruling in Pride v. The Signal case

A judge ruled in The Signal's favor Monday, concluding that the newspaper does not owe Johnny Pride any money in his small-claims case. Pride, who ran for Santa Clarita City Council earlier this year, sued The Signal for $5,000 for defamation of character. The local resident alleged that The Signal misrepresented him; claims that the newspaper has rejected.
