Parks deputy suffers minor injuries after crashes car

A deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Parks Bureau suffered minor injuries after losing control of the of the patrol car he was driving and crashing it into a guard rail at the Hasley Canyon Road onramp to Interstate 5, authorities said Friday.

Easter at Vasquez Rocks

There will be two outdoor Easter services at the beautiful Vasquez Rocks in Agua Dulce. Homeless man arrested for fight

A 48-year-old man was arrested Thursday for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon for kicking another man in the head repeatedly during an after-midnight fight in downtown Newhall, authorities said. Because the arrested man wore shoes, the crime becomes assault with a deadly weapon, said Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Lt. Joe Efflandt.
