For the past week, a bizarre case of a missing couple, Dusan and Renata Klein, has been a big story in Santa Clarita. The pair left their Canyon Country home abruptly on June 11, without telling friends or family where they were going. Two days later, they were officially listed as missing.
On June 23, the International Energy Agency, or IEA, announced it was releasing 60 million barrels of oil from its emergency energy reserves, sending oil prices tumbling, a good thing for consumers. Further, the Obama administration announced that 30 million of that would be American oil.
What planet do these people live on? They cannot pass a real budget, they use smoke and mirrors to make it look like they have balanced it, and when the governor vetoes it, they complain.
Gary Horton hit the nail on the head and hammered it home in his June 22 opinion piece, "The price is high for U.S. militarism."
If the GOP is the party of "no," then certainly the Democratic party should be the party of "yes."
