Fair Oaks school gets grant

Fair Oaks Ranch Community School received a $5,000 grant from the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation on Wednesday, which will pay for new technology for students in the classroom. Fair Oaks Ranch Community School in Canyon Country opened in 2002 with some computers and other technology. However, funding limitations have not allowed the school to keep up with technological advancements.

Saugus Union appoints new board president

Saugus Union School District board members Tuesday night elected Doug Bryce as their 2011 board president. Bryce replaces Paul de la Cerda, who remains on the board. Board member Rose Koscielny was selected as the board clerk.
