A June 17 story stated that a car-wash worker allegedly stole nearly $1,000 from a customer's car in Canyon Country. The man was not an employee of Canyon Country Car Wash, but another car-wash business also located in Canyon Country.

DUI checkpoint planned Friday night

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department personnel will conduct a DUI checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Santa Clarita on Friday between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m., according to a Sheriff's Department press release.
