Selling fear as fact regarding Jerry Brown

Regarding "My money is on Meg Whitman for governor," (Aug. 15): Roger Gitlin appears to be Sean Hannity's clone, espousing opinion as fact, and then selling fear as fact. He apparently knows little about Jerry Brown, though he sounds like the expert.

Glad about the Prop. 8 ruling

Rejoice and pass my double nonfat latte, a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan no less, listened carefully to the two sides presented in regard to Proposition 8 and overturned the results from one of the most expensive and ridiculous things (was it really a law?) ever put on a ballot.

How about some good news?

I would love to see a page in The Signal titled "Good News Page." This page could be good things that have happened and positive things that happened; things that cheer us all up. Anything from what happened to your family dog, to how glad we all are that we finally made it home safely. A report about a Good Samaritan helping someone in need.
