We are lucky

Concerning the libraries being taken over by the city: I think it is wrong. The libraries are doing good, and I think it wouldn't help them.

The wrong approach

Americans are overwhelmingly opposed to amnesty for illegal immigrants. To override the "will of the people" and Congressional authority under the U.S. Constitution, President Barack Obama plans "back-door" amnesty by using executive orders to change the rules in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and immigration service to legalize millions of illegal immigrants.

Call the water police

After reading the Aug. 15 article "'Fair and firm' cash grab" on the proposed and present water-use enforcement, I have a few comments. With the increased water rates and shortages, many residents have cut back watering lawns until they die or turn into dirt patches. Others have changed grass for rocks as their forced alternative landscaping choice around their houses.

Where's the fish?

This community has grown and changed since I moved here in the 1980s. We've seen expanded shopping and eatery opportunities for everything from coffee to drive-through and high-end restaurants. We are happy about that.
