Priorities wrong

I see that Dick Ramirez, in "Not the way to go," and Steven Brooks, "California crisis solvable" (both in Opinion, Letters June 19), feel that their particular spending priorities should be California's priorities, even to the point of raising, again, the already overwhelmingly high taxes on the people and businesses of California.

Antonovich boosts sheriff's off-road vehicle enforcement

To protect Los Angeles County's natural resources and enforce laws pertaining to off-highway vehicles (OHVs), Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has allocated $35,000 to the sheriff's COPS teams to purchase four motorcycles, a motorcycle trailer and personal safety equipment for the teams' off-highway vehicle enforcement program.

Supervisors move to share data about public services clients
