California State Senator Tony Strickland, Vice-Chair of the Senate Health Committee and representitive of the California Senate District 19, which includes portions of Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties, reacted to the Senate Appropriations passage of SB 810 (Leno, D-San Francisco) and released the following statement:

The lack of support for the federal proposal and the election results in Massachusetts, less than 48 hours ago, should indicate the public's desire to have government stay out of their healthcare decisions.
