LOS ANGELES COUNTY - The Board of Supervisors approved $2.5 million in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Justice to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for its forensic DNA backlog reduction program, according to Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
$1.5 million will be used to improve the Department's DNA Program by reducing forensic DNA backlog, improving the capacity for DNA analysis and crime lab infrastructure.
