Santa Clarita Transit riders can now park at The Greens as part of a temporary park 'n ride agreement made with property owners. There is no overnight parking and drivers will park at their own risk. Local student honored

Kiya L. Wilson, of Saugus, was named a 2010 President's Scholar this week with the incoming freshman class at California State University, Long Beach. She will receive a full, four-year scholarship from the university worth more than $50,000. The scholarship covers general student fees, an annual book allowance and paid housing in the campus residence halls for four years.

It began when the Metro Group, who owns the land on which the billboards in question reside, approached the city with a proposal to remove every billboard in the Metro (railroad) right-of-way, within the Soledad Canyon Road and Railroad Avenue corridors, in the center of the city.
