Arnold Schwarzenegger stood beside Vice President Joe Biden as he announced that nearly 1 million jobs had either been created or retained, as a result of the approximately $160 billion that had thus far been appropriated to state and local governments, businesses, school districts and other nonprofit organizations from the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Early this morning I went into my garden and picked up the Sunday morning paper, and was greeted with the headline that the House passed the most sweeping health-care plan since the creation of Medicare 44 years ago. This is the first time in more than a hundred years that Congress has had the moral fortitude to pass a comprehensive health insurance reform.

Magic Mountain employees to give back Friday

Arm-wrestling competition Saturday

John Brzenk, Guinness World Record-holder in armwrestling, is coming to the Santa Clarita Valley Saturday, Nov. 14 to help raise funds for the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Project.
