Decoro editorial obnoxious

I missed the town meeting on Sept. 3 because my wife and I were on vacation. After we returned I checked your Web site and read the article about the results of the town meeting and some letters, plus The Signal's Sept. 5 editorial ("Bike lanes, open ears and the culture of entitlement").

Friends and Family Day at Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship

"Better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away." - Proverbs 27:10b Santa Clarita Christian Fellowship has become that neighbor nearby for many who left a faraway brother in Chicago, Los Angeles or other United States cities. Christian Fellowship extended an invitation on Sunday to friends and family of current members as a means of taking in spiritual orphans. Some may be hesitant to visit a predominantly African-American church because of an unspoken fear that ...

I am a bicyclist, attempting to reduce my carbon footprint by leaving the car home as much as possible. I support the Santa Clarita Bike Master Plan and the city's efforts to improve biking by installing a network of bike facilities, including the new bike lanes on Decoro.

Community supports burglarized church

It's been a rough week for the New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Val Verde. On Sunday, someone broke into the church and stole several instruments, amplifiers and cash offerings. The losses totaled an estimated $2,250 - a tremendous bill for a church with 45 low-income congregants, some of who work at fast-food restaurants in the area. But in the days since word of the crime spread, others have come forward with donation ...
