Bowman students find beat

Students from Bowman High School's guitar class recently paid a visit to the world famous Musician's Institute. Located in the heart of Hollywood, the school hosts students from around the country and the world. Musician's Institute, or M.I., is a trade school focused on the music industry with programs in instrumental music as well as business and production.

McKeon, Boxer introduce bill to name mountain peak after Olympian

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and U.S. Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) have introduced legislation to rename Peak 12,240 in Mono County "Mt. Andrea Lawrence," in memory of the late Andrea Lawrence - a conservationist, three-time Olympian and member of the Mono County Board of Supervisors.
