Ban on plastic bags is just common sense

Again, we are hearing the "ban the plastic bag" chant. The problem seems to have fallen by the wayside, since we can see how the freeways are littered with them and the little darlings are left for dead in parks and public places.

Goodbye and thanks to the local Do it Center

When I moved here in 1981, there were two "big" hardware stores: Builders Emporium and the Do it Center (known then as Neiman Reed Lumber City). Then came the "bigger box" hardware stores. The Emporium closed about 10 years ago.
