Olympics wrap: USA wins 6 medals, half of them gold

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - The U.S. Olympic team came into the day with high expectations and surpassed those lofty goals, marking their best day ever in Winter Games history with six medals - half of them gold.

The big names justified the hype, and then some: Lindsey, Shani and Shaun won in convincing fashion. And their less-heralded counterparts were just as impressive.

City to host 'Freedom Child' performance

The city of Santa Clarita will host Freedom Child: The Civil Rights Children's 1963 'Bombingham' on Sunday, Feb. 21 as part of the city's A Season of Diversity program. The event, held at 2 p.m. at the Valencia Library, will feature an informative performance highlighting the Civil Rights Movement.

Teens tagged with felony vandalism charges

Four Newhall teens ages 13-15 are in deep trouble with the law and their parents after local detectives arrested them on charges related to 377 related vandalism incidents over an 11-month period, which caused property damage estimated at more than $150,000, according to a report released this morning by the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station.

'Every 15 Minutes' program clocks in at Saugus High
