Christian community?

Truth is a precious commodity that seems to be under attack consistently. The truth is this was formed as a Christian country. In 1620, all 41 men aboard the Mayflower signed a covenant declaring: "In the name of God, amen. We, whose names are underwritten, having undertaken for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith."

Lawsuit rejected in Newhall Memorial Hospital expansion

NORWALK, Calif. - A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ruled yesterday, rejecting a lawsuit brought against the city of Santa Clarita over the approval of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital master plan expansion, concluding that "The petitioner has not established that there was any prejudicial abuse of discretion." ...Therefore, "The petition is denied."

The December 2008 lawsuit filed by Santa Clarita Organizing for Planning and Environment (SCOPE) and Community Advocates for Health Care SCV challenged the adequacy of the project's environmental impact report (EIR). However, the judge disagreed with each of the petitioners' arguments in the case.

Locals invited to Cross Valley Connector tour, opening in March

This spring, the Santa Clarita City Council is very pleased to celebrate the culmination of nearly 10 years of hard work completing the Cross Valley Connector, an 8½-mile cross-town roadway that connects Interstate-5/Highway 126 with Highway 14 (aka the Antelope Valley Freeway) through our city.

The final leg of the roadway is the link between Golden Valley Road and Bouquet Canyon Road/Newhall Ranch Road in Canyon Country, which will officially open to the public on Saturday, March 27.
