McDonald’s holds fundraiser Tuesday for boy with cancer

A community fundraiser for Christopher Miranda, a 9-year-old boy struggling with leukemia, will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald's located at 18850 Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.

YMCA holds annual Pinewood Derby Race

More than 150 participants, aged five to nine, took part in the Y-Guides Pinewood Derby race on Sunday at Saugus High School. The annual event is sponsored by the Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA.
