Latest Kaiser poll shows public support for health care reform unchanged

Peace Corps volunteers up by 18 percent over last year

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Peace Corps recruited 15,386 applicants in fiscal year 2009. This represents the largest amount of applications since the agency began electronically recording applications in 1998 and is an 18 percent increase from fiscal year 2008.*

YouTube is the new MTV

When MTV was launched in 1981, it changed the music industry forever. From that point on, musicians who wanted to be popular needed to worry about their look as well as their sound. For some acts, their look was even more important than their music.

The same kind of change happened on the Internet in 2005. That was the year YouTube was launched. It quickly grew to be one of the most viewed Web sites of all time. Visitors can go to YouTube and watch videos put up by other site visitors.
