CIF boys volleyball: Valencia’s run cut short

The Valencia boys volleyball team saw its season ended by a determined Claremont team 25-22, 14-25, 25-23, 25-22 in the quarterfinals of the CIF-Southern Section Division II playoffs on Saturday night at Valencia High School.

It is the second straight year that the Vikings suffered a playoff loss at home.

Temecula Valley International Jazz Festival changes venue

TEMECULA, Calif. -- July 9, 10 and 11, 2010, the 7th annual Temecula Valley International Jazz Festival, located in the Southern California Wine Country City of Temecula, has announced a change of venue from Main St. in Old Town, to the new Home of the Chuck Niles Memorial Jazz Library and the Temecula Valley Cultural Arts & Music Center at 27455 Tierra Alta Way.

UPDATED: Annual Fight It! 5K most successful one to date

Bright and early this morning, hundreds of runners and walkers took to the cross-country course along the hills and tree-lined trails of Central Park in what turned out to be the most successful Fight It! 5k to date. A total of 378 runners, walkers, children, and canine companions participated in the 5k and 1k, all in benefit of the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund (BMCF).
