The inaugural trip included visits to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, monuments and memorials (Lincoln, Vietnam and Korean), Mount Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery, Ford's Theatre, Newseum, a Kennedy Center performance and the White House.
