Scholarship deadline Nov. 10

Local community college students enrolled in construction, construction management, architecture or computer aided design/CADD programs have until Nov. 10 to apply for a scholarship through Klassen Corporation. The winners of the five scholarships, worth $1,000 each, will be announced on Dec. 2.

City seeks artists for 2011 holiday card

Submissions of original artwork for the city's 2011 holiday-card contest will be accepted until 5 p.m. Friday. The holiday-card theme is "Peace on Earth." Selected artwork will be displayed at in the First Floor Gallery at Santa Clarita City Hall from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. The winning submission will be included on the city of Santa Clarita's 2011 holiday card.
