Antonovich calls for reforms to address state budget deficit

"As a new $21 billion state deficit looms, I urge you to develop, implement and support structural reforms to address our immediate crisis and provide a long term solution for future generations," Supervisor Michael D. NASA's WISE spacecraft launches Dec. 9

Antonovich expands cross-reporting of child abuse cases to city attorneys

LOS ANGELES COUNTY - To enhance the prosecution of abusers and prevent future child abuse, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich to expand cross-reporting to nine additional cities; Burbank, Hawthorne, Santa Monica, Torrance, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Long Beach, Pasadena and Redondo Beach.

"With this vital partnership between the Department of Children and Family Services, law enforcement, the Dependency Court, and these additional City Attorney's Offices, we can more effectively protect the children of Los Angeles County," Antonovich said.
