Armstrong crashes, off to hospital for X-rays

VISALIA, Calif. (AP) - Lance Armstrong is going to the hospital for X-rays after crashing during the Tour of California cycle race.

Armstrong's longtime coach Johan Bruyneel tweeted Thursday that Armstrong was involved in a "huge" crash and "had to abandon and is going to the hospital for Xrays."

Star Party on Friday

The College of the Canyons Canyon Country campus will host its second Star Party from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday. The event gives the local community a chance to explore the night sky through telescopes. The Star Party will also include talks from college faculty members and amateur astronomers. Attendees are encouraged to come early with picnic blankets and lawn chairs.
