City plans parking restrictions, one-way traffic in Valencia during Sunday memorial of Rodas, Walker

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Department and the City of Santa Clarita recommend the public avoid the Rye Canyon Business Park if at all possible on Sunday, December 8, 2013 in anticipation of a reported public memorial for actor Paul Walker and Roger Rodas. Ongoing parking restrictions and lane closures will remain in place and will be enforced.

Protect your furry friends during cold snap

The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) would like to remind L.A. County residents of the National Weather Service's (NWS) current weather advisory for the Los Angeles area. Freezing temperatures are predicted by NWS for the Antelope Valley and other parts of Los Angeles County. The freeze warning remains in effect until 10:00 p.m. Friday evening. Minimum temperatures of 12 to 22 degrees are expected Thursday morning and Friday morning in the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale.
