LOS ANGELES COUNTY - The Board of Supervisors approved a motion by County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich and Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky directing the Department of Regional Planning to prepare an ordinance adopting standards to preserve the natural darkness of night skies for the residents of the county's rural areas.
