Review: 'Couples Retreat'

"Couples Retreat" tells the story of four troubled couples and how they're healed by sitcom formulas. Why are they troubled? Because the screenplay says so. It contains little comedy except for free-standing one-liners, and no suspense except for the timing of the obligatory reconciliation. It doesn't even make you think you'd like to visit its island paradise.

Experience, accomplishment matter

I'm voting for Suzan Solomon for Hart District Board because I want my children and all of the children attending Hart district schools to be represented by someone who will not pussyfoot around in order to get Castaic High School built, who will effectively manage bond money, ensure transparency for all monies spent and will keep state budget cuts out of our classrooms.
