We do not think Santa Clarita has the capability to "enhance" our libraries by privatizing them. If the city did take over, we know they would slap another tax on us in the long-term to operate the facilities.
Dear Santa Clarita City Council, as a regular user of the Valencia Library who knows first-hand how important the libraries are to Santa Clarita's less affluent citizens, I am appalled at the planned actions by the Santa Clarita City Council to transfer operation of our libraries to an unknown private company from Maryland.
